The Annual General Meeting of the Defford Airfield Heritage Group was held in Defford Village Hall on November 10th, with about 20 members present.
The four Officers of the retiring Committee of the Group – Graham Evans (Chairman), Dennis Williams (Vice Chairman and Archivist), Sylvia Evans (Treasurer) and Bob Shaw (Secretary) – all submitted reports on what had been on the whole a very successful year.
All four were re-elected. However Dennis Williams said he wished to stand down from the position of Vice Chairman, although he was willing to continue as Archivist. Accordingly, Tim Hickson was elected to join the Committee as Vice Chairman.
A vote of thanks was passed to Sylvia Evans and her colleagues for an excellent buffet lunch.
